Jade 1901 – Absinthe Superieure

Jade 1901 – Absinthe Superieure

This is a classic vintage-style absinthe, balanced and crisp, with a stimulating herbal aroma and a smooth, lingering aftertaste. Jade 1901 is so close to the circa 1900 original it replicates, it’s truly a trip back to the café tables of Paris during La Belle Epoque!

Jade 1901 Absinthe Supérieure is the second of the carefully reproduced “vintage” absinthes from Jade Liqueurs. Jade 1901 has been recreated as a tribute to a very well-known, pre-prohibition French Absinthe, as it was around 1901. With extraordinary accuracy, Jade 1901 is so close to the original it pays homage and Jade Liqueurs’ work is certainly not to be underestimated.

As an interesting detail, we must mention that when a large cache of the pre-ban original was discovered a number of years ago, some bottles were found to be in such fine condition and well preserved that they had even retained much of their original color and freshness. Those who have been lucky enough to taste these (yes, we are of course some of them) all agreed that if any absinthe today even comes close, it is striking how similar the vintage bottles are to Jade 1901. This is a masterpiece, plain and simple.
