In a cozy little corner of southern Sweden, where the winter nights are long and the drinks are strong, a dream came true. The dream of Holy Spirits – an idea of two passionate bon vivants, Markus and Sanja.
Markus is Sweden’s absolute absinthe expert, with over 27 years of experience. His love affair with the Green Fairy began in the late 90s and he has spent decades researching, collecting, tasting, judging and educating people about this mythical drink. No one knows absinthe like Markus, and his passion for fancy drinks and classic cocktails spills over into everything we do.
Sanja, is an enthusiast of all that makes life delightfully enjoyable. Her love of good food and drink is infectious, and she has an uncanny ability to turn any small gathering into a party. Did someone make a good gin drink? If so, it’s probably in her hand right now.
With a flair for the perfect drink and a knack for discovering unique flavors, they are the heart and soul of the company.
The Holy Spirits story began around a fireplace in a remote country house in Portugal, by the warmth of the fire and with a Negroni in hand, they began to talk about their shared passion for fine drinks, high quality spirits and their countless adventures in search of that perfect drink. The conversation flowed as easily as the wine, and before they knew it, an idea was born.
“Why don’t we start our own business?”
“And provide better drinks to the people?”
And right then and there, Holy Spirits was born.
Our vision is simple: to import and distribute the finest unique premium spirits, interesting cocktail bitters and essential mixers and syrups, and more.
