The family-owned distillery was founded in 2000 with a vision and passion for making high-quality plum brandy (yep, Slivovitza) and has since expanded to include a rich range of liqueurs, gins and, of course, absinthes that have earned them a well-deserved esteemed place in the world of craft spirits.
At the helm is Martin Zufanek, a master distiller whose skill and passion have driven the distillery to new heights. Known for his dedication to quality and innovation, Martin ensures that every bottle is indeed a true reflection of his craft. His process starts with the best local ingredients, most of which come directly from Zufanek’s 15 hectares of organic orchards. This allows them to tap into the unique soil and microclimate of the White Carpathians, resulting in spirits that are truly unique.
Absinthe has a special place in Martin’s heart and he gives each small-scale batch his own unique touch. With well-made absinthes that pay homage to history, Martin’s creations offer a genuine experience of the green fairy, carefully crafted and perfectly balanced. Not surprisingly, his work has been well recognized by absinthe lovers around the world, with varieties that flirt with both tradition and innovation.
Beyond an incredibly well-balanced Slivo and his insanely good absinthe, one of Zufanek’s most famous creations is OMFG Gin – a limited edition Gin that raises the bar every year. OMFG Gin builds on the base of their beloved OMG Gin but with a new unique ingredient each year, carefully selected and never repeated. This additional ingredient gives each annual release a distinct character, making OMFG a coveted collectible for gin enthusiasts.
