Gin Meridor is the first London Dry Gin produced in the Loire Valley. Created by Franck Choisne, the recipe is the result of over two years of research and development and is produced by distilling all the ingredients together in Combiers’ historic alembic stills. The stills, with their exceptionally long swan necks, are perfect for this type of spirit and extract maximum aromas and flavors from the carefully selected ingredients. Gin Meridor gets its characteristic and floral profile from rose petals, elderflower, juniper berries, coriander, lemon zest, orris root, cubeb, and licorice, among other ingredients.
Gin Meridor is a favorite among gin connoisseurs and won prestigious awards in its first year of release. It is named after Diana of Méridor, the romantic heroine in Alexandre Dumas’ novel La dame de Monsoreau.
