Elixir Combier is a medicinal liqueur inspired by a medicinal liqueur once created by the revolutionary doctor Raspail. The talented Jean-Baptiste Combier studied the recipe in Raspail’s famous medical almanac and decided to improve the original formula and make it his own. After tasting the result, Dr. Raspail wrote to Combier praising his version, which he considered both delicious and very healthy. The complex combination of exotic spices and medicinal herbs (cardamom, myrrh, cinnamon, saffron, and agarwood) is macerated for several weeks before distillation. The meticulous manufacturing process has made Elixir Combier an exceptional digestif. It may not be a group of monks who make Elixir Combier, but believe us when we say that it can both replace and surpass most herbal liqueurs.
