L’Original Combier Triple Sec

L’Original Combier Triple Sec

How about the world’s very first Triple Sec? Yes, that is indeed the case. Before Cointreau, for all the others. That’s exactly why it’s called L’Original Combier. This famous liqueur was originally developed in a single small still at the back of the shop opened in 1834 by pastry chef Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine Destre in Saumur, France. L’Original Combier Triple Sec orange liqueur has been produced in the Combier distillery on the same site continuously since then with a unique craftsmanship in the same copper pans that have been at the distillery since the 19th century. The historic recipe has remained unchanged and the incredible craftsmanship shines through in the smooth but characteristic orange flavor. Orange peels imported from the Caribbean are zested by hand at the distillery. No coloring or flavoring is added to the pure distillation of sweet and bitter oranges, water and sugar.

There are several that mimic Combier’s Triple Sec, but there is really only one original and clearly few live up to the absolutely wonderful profile and taste of the Original Combier. This is orange liqueur for real. If you want your drinks to taste like they were meant to, there’s no doubt that this one should be on the shelf.
